Therapeutic Laser Treatment

Laser therapy uses a laser light that makes multiple light waves which can be used to stimulate cells and tissue. This should not be confused with laser surgery.

We use the laser to help stimulate healing, especially after surgery. It helps reduce inflammation, increase lymphatic flow and red blood cell flow, and can help with the release of endorphins. All of these help promote healing and can help alleviate pain.

After surgery we use the laser to help promote healing along the incision line. We include this in the price you pay for those surgeries. But the laser has the potential to be helpful in other ways too.

It can be used for arthritis, ear infections, back disease, hot spots and lick granulomas to just name a few. Not every pet responds the same way so several treatments may be necessary before we start seeing improvement or can say whether it will be beneficial for your pet.

If you have any questions, please call us and we’ll be happy to talk to you about laser therapy and whether it would be an option for your pet.
